Sam Ryan who was born Samantha Ryan is a well-known and respected sportscaster in the United States. Sam is currently employed as a sportscaster for the weekend evening broadcasts in New York City on WABC-TV Eyewitness News.

Samantha started working for the station in September of 2011 when it first opened its doors. In 2017, she worked as a reporter for the League Championship Series between the Chicago Cubs and the Los Angeles Dodgers for both the MLB and TBS Networks. She reported both on-air and from the field during the series.

1999 was the year that Ryan was honored with both the New York Emmy Award and the Associated Press Award (2000). The New York Institute of Technology was where Ryan received his education. Following that, she enrolled at Hofstra University with the intention of earning a degree in Communications.

In 1996, she joined ABC Radio Network then moved to Fox Sports New York in 2000. Sam began her first job in the television industry at WABC-TV ABC in September of 2002. She began her career in the media industry by joining ESPN and CBS Sports in 2003. Two years later, in June 2006, she began working for WCBS-TV.
