As they took cover in the Ramada Inn hallway, a wall fell and broke their $50,000 video camera. Lucky for everyone, no one got hurt.
The American Meteorological Society (AMS) has named Diaz a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist. He is the first person in New Mexico and the 68th person in the country to receive this honor.
