Williams is a meteorologist at WLOX, where she works. He was born in New Orleans, where he also spent his childhood, and received his education in meteorology at Mobile. Aside from Florida, he has lived in every single Gulf Coast state there is, with the exception of Florida. When he was in the fifth grade, he already had a strong interest in meteorology and it continued to grow.
After enrolling in the University of South Alabama, he went on to get a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from that institution. His first job in television was with a local station in a town in Michigan called Marquette. The ability to accurately forecast winter storms and extreme cold weather events in Upper Michigan presented a significant difficulty. The time he spent there as a morning meteorologist will be a memory that he will treasure for the rest of his life.
Even while the summers were lovely and the fall foliage was breathtaking, the wind chills of -30 degrees made him yearn for the warmth of his own home. Williams decided to move back to his home state and give up his days of sledding and snowmobiling when he made the move. At that point in time, he was quite grateful for his experience in predicting winter storms. Storms that were both violent and tornado-producing were not uncommon in northern Louisiana during the active weather seasons. Despite this, hurricane season is her favorite time of year.
