According to a report that appeared in Variety, Nair has parted ways with CBS. Nair was a guest anchor for the Dallas-based ABC affiliate WFAA on News 8 Daybreak on October 12 and 13, 2017, working alongside former co-anchor of World News Now and America This Morning Ron Corning.

Before pursuing a career in television journalism, Nair was a writer for the magazine Today’s Chicago Woman and a reporter for Talk Radio News in Washington, District of Columbia. She began her career in television news as a general assignment reporter for WGEM-TV in Quincy, Illinois, the NBC affiliate station serving the area.
