Between the years 2002 and 2016, Troy was employed at the Denver Post. In 2005, he took on more responsibilities and became a national reporter for major league baseball in addition to his role as a beat writer for the Rockies. In 2014, he became a member of The Post’s Broncos beat, and in 2015, he was promoted to the role of lead reporter for the team’s run to the Super Bowl.
