T.D Jakes Son
In February of 2009, the son of famed black televangelist Bishop T.D. Jakes, who is known for his opposition to homosexuality, was taken into custody and charged with indecent exposure. According to the authorities, Jermaine Jakes exposed himself to two male undercover vice officers, which further complicated the situation.
The incident that led to the arrest occurred while Jakes’ son was cruising at Keist Park, which is a well-known cruising spot in Dallas. According to CBS 11: “According to the affidavit, Jermaine approached one of the detectives who was stationed at the park while his pants were unbuttoned. According to the affidavit, he then started masturbating while establishing eye contact with the investigator while he was doing it. He was taken into custody by the cops on suspicion of indecent exposure.”
Although Jakes’s son watches and does nothing, his father openly expresses his hatred of gay people. Even though Jakes is aware that his son is gay, he continues to fight against laws that would protect LGBT people like his son. To our good fortune, Jermaine was taken into custody by two officers working undercover. Not homophobes who might assault him or do something even worse.

Women’s Ministry
Since the beginning of the WoMan to Woman program, the goal that T.D. Jakes’ wife, Serika Jakes, has had for the participants of The Potter’s House is for them to unite as one woman. It is the deepest yearning of her heart for the women to unite as a God-breathed organism consisting of sisters, daughters, mothers, friends, and lifetime legacy mentors who, when working together, will create an environment that is conducive to healthy relationships.
This is a vision of unity in which the predominating countenance is one of feminine grace, which emanates a tenderness that is announced as power; where peace insists on reigning; where a kind word is freely shared around; and where love is expected to reach to vast lengths. Woman to Woman aspires, through a method of ministry that is both doctrinally solid and programmatic, to not only meet each woman at the place of her need but also to bolster her so that she may advance to the point of her abundance. This is the organization’s dual mission.
T.D Jakes Church
T.D Jakes is the person who initially established the church that is today known as “The Potter’s House.” It is a very large church that may be found in Dallas, Texas, in the United States. The name “Eagles Nest Family Church” was given to this congregation when it was first launched by televangelist W.V. Grant. Following their conviction for tax cheating in 1996, he sold the facility to T.D. Jakes, who rebranded it as The Potter’s House and reintroduced it to the public under its new name.
As a result of the church’s enlargement, a new sanctuary comprising 191,000 square feet (17,700 square meters) was constructed at a cost of $45 million, and the debt was paid off in just four years. The construction of the auditorium, which included a big stage, a choir loft with seating for 450 people, an audio-visual system that was state-of-the-art at the time, and cascade seating, was finished in August of 2000. The sanctuary has seating for around 7,600 people and is also utilized for activities that are not related to the church, such as concerts, graduations, and business presentations.
