Czaban relocated to Chicago in the latter half of 1994 so that he could become the morning program host for the One-On-One Sports radio network. While he was in Chicago, he spoke with Bob Madden and Brian Nelson, the hosts of Bob & Brian. As a result of their conversation, they decided to add a part of The Sports Report with Czaban to their show and call it “Original Sports Donkey.” He continued to host up until 1997 when he finally stepped down. After being hired by WFNZ in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1998 to anchor their afternoon sports show, Czaban left the station in June 1999. WFNZ is located in Charlotte.

Czaban rejoined Pollin in 2000 for The Sports Reporters, which was broadcast on WTEM in Washington, District of Columbia, after working for ESPN Radio for a period of six months.

When the two individuals commented on a transgender basketball player at Mission College who was 50 years old at the time, Gabrielle Ludwig, they caused a stir in December 2012.
