In December 1989, Caporizzo was given the role of Chief Meteorologist for NEWS10. Before he moved to Albany, he held the position of chief meteorologist at WABI-TV in Bangor, Maine, and WWLP-TV in Springfield, Massachusetts, prior to being a member of the WTEN team.
