Following an offer from Liberty University’s senior sports producer, Bruce Carey, to serve as a sideline reporter for the Liberty Flames sports television network, Ponder decided to transfer to Liberty University. After graduating from Liberty in 2009, she went on to become a sideline reporter for Fox Sports Net and Fox College Sports, covering college basketball and football games in the Pac-10 and Big 12 conferences. On July 7, 2011, it was revealed that ESPN’s Longhorn Network had signed Ponder to work as a sideline reporter for the network.
