2017 saw devastating storms hit Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico; Marciano provided live reporting from the epicenter of the devastation in each of those places. These hurricanes made landfall in 2017, and Marciano was there to cover them. Almost at the beginning of the path of totality, Marciano was live-broadcasting from the Oregon coast during ABC News’ coverage of the Great American Eclipse.
Rob began his career as a co-host on “Entertainment Tonight” and then went on to work at ABC News. Throughout his time on the program, he conducted interviews with a large number of well-known figures, including one-hour specials featuring Jennifer Lopez and Katy Perry. Prior to joining “ET,” Rob worked as a news and weather anchor for CNN News Group since 2003. Rob had previously worked with an organization known as “ET.”
Along with the duties listed above, Rob was employed by the CNN Network as a field correspondent. Rob reported live from the field for CNN during Hurricane Katrina and the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The network’s Peabody Award win was made possible in part by these changes. He co-anchored primetime shows including “Rescue: Saving the Gulf,” where he accompanied the heroes who skimmed oil, cleaned up the beach, and protected wildlife during the worst oil leak in US history. During this period, the oil spill was the worst in American history.
