The 19th Special Forces Group out of Fort Lewis, Washington has provided him with instruction in urban operations as well as tactical room clearance.

Rob was one of only 16 soldiers out of 64 to graduate from Officer Candidate School, and he was recognized for his dedication to education as well as his service in the Global War on Terrorism by receiving the National Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Army Certificate of Achievement, and a Citation of Commendation from the Oklahoma State Senate and the Oklahoma House of Representatives. Rob also received the Army Certificate of Achievement.
