Rob is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in addition to a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. During his stay there, he was recognized for his outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement by being named to the Dean’s list and receiving the Order of Troy award, which is given to the top 140 of 4,000 graduating seniors.
While attending USC, Rob was the host of “Political Platform” and “CU@USC,” the latter of which was selected by Spin Magazine as the finest college television discussion show. In addition to her work as a journalist, Rob serves in the Oklahoma Army National Guard as a Light Infantry Officer and Rifle Platoon Leader. At the moment, he is serving as the Commanding Officer of “Cold Steel” 1/179, 45 IBCT. The 19th Special Forces Group out of Fort Lewis, Washington has provided him with instruction in urban operations as well as tactical room clearance.
Rob was one of only 16 soldiers out of 64 to graduate from Officer Candidate School, and he was recognized for his dedication to education as well as his service in the Global War on Terrorism by receiving the National Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Army Certificate of Achievement, and a Citation of Commendation from the Oklahoma State Senate and the Oklahoma House of Representatives. Rob also received the Army Certificate of Achievement. Rob is not only a board member but also the Director of Operations for Honoring America’s Warriors, a charity established in Oklahoma that serves military personnel and Veterans and is currently making plans to enter the market in Kansas City.
