Peyton has always had a deep interest in writing and journalism, even from a young age. Her mother was a news anchor in Baton Rouge, the city where she grew up, and some of her most cherished memories of her childhood involve her mother getting her up early in the morning and taking her to the studio, where she was exposed to the inner workings of the news business.
Peyton held the positions of bureau chief and reporter for the ABC station WMBB News 13, which is located in the Destin-Panama City, Florida area, prior to his work at WGNO ABC26. After graduating from The University of Mississippi with a degree in journalism, Peyton began her career in the field by working as a feature reporter for News Watch 99 and as an event reporter for WTVA in Tupelo, Mississippi.
