Griego was born and raised in Colorado, and she currently serves as the Morning News Anchor for CBS News Colorado. She started her career in journalism when she was just 11 years old and grew up in the North Denver neighborhood that is close to Sloan’s Lake. She was a co-anchor on “Two Bits,” a kids’ news show that aired on KWGN-TV for over three decades. The state of Utah, as well as Nebraska, Colorado, and Wyoming, broadcast the program.
She went to the Bay Area in 2012 to take a position as the morning anchor at KPIX 5 in San Francisco.
