Megan became a member of the news staff in the capacity of multimedia journalist in June of 2018. She was originally from Woodside, California, which is situated in the Bay Area; but, in order to attend Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, she relocated to the Central Coast.
She received her bachelor’s degree from Cumberland University with a major in Journalism and a minor in Spanish. Megan spent her junior year of high school in Madrid, Spain, where she attended classes and lived with a Spanish host family in order to better her Spanish language skills.
During her time at Cal Poly, Megam held internships as a baseball sideline reporter for ESPN 1280 radio, a San Francisco Giants Content Producer for SPORTalk, and a content creator/correspondent for a startup social media firm called UrbanAMA. She also worked for Mustang News and Mustang Gameday.
Megan is ecstatic to be a part of the KSBY News team and to remain right here on the Central Coast. She will be able to visit her family quickly thanks to the short commute.

At the moment, Megan is working hard at KSBY News, which is an NBC affiliate television station, to strengthen her abilities as a reporter, meteorologist, and anchor. After completing a broadcast journalism internship during the spring semester at KSBY News, she was offered a full-time position there as a multimedia reporter even before she graduated from Cal Poly SLO with a bachelor’s degree in the field.
