Since she has made a full recovery, Margaret has collaborated on the production of a program entitled “Miracles Among Us,” which is broadcast during the winter holiday season. People from all over the Triad who have experienced what they consider to be miraculous occurrences in their lives are featured in the episode. Margaret is quoted as saying, “This is some of the most fulfilling work I get to do during the course of the year.”
While Margaret was undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer in 2005, she took an extended leave of absence from WXII. She also had chemotherapy and radiation therapy in addition to the two operations she had. She had tests done once every six months, and we are relieved to report that she has not been diagnosed with cancer. “And a significant number of individuals have been praying for me. I have faith that praying will change things, and I have seen it happen. Here I am.” By the way, Margaret has been working at WXII for more than three decades, making her a stalwart presence there over the years.
