Maggie LaMere is a well-known journalist in the United States who currently works for WZTV Fox17. She anchors the weekend nightly newscasts on FOX 17 and is a reporter throughout the week.
She attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism in addition to a minor in Spanish Studies. She swam for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on the school’s Division 1 women’s swim team while she was a student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for her first two years of college.

At the Midwest Invitational on February 12-13, she finished the season by winning the 200 individual medley, placing third in the 200 free, and placing sixth in the 100 free. She began the year by placing 11th in the 200 back, 18th in the 100 free, 19th in the 200 free, and 23rd in the 100 back at the All Wisconsin Invite on October 24. She also took fourth in the 200 free and sixth in the 100 back in a victory over Wheaton. Nov. 6 raced in the 100 and 200 free events as well as the 100 and 200 back events in Milwaukee’s midseason meet at Iowa Dec. 4-6, posting season-best times in all four events and was recognized to the Horizon League Fall and Spring Academic Honor Roll.
