Kianna Price, a graduate of the University of Richmond, currently serves as the television host for the program Living Local on WFXR, which is Roanoke’s offshoot of the Local Fox network.

Prior to her current position at WFXR, she spent more than ten years working as an on-air radio personality and as the Program Director for a station called The Vibe.

Her line of work has afforded her the opportunity to converse with a wide range of celebrities, including Magic Johnson, Joe Biden, John Legend, and Smokey Robinson, amongst others.

Her profession has been highlighted through conversations with former President Barack Obama and, later, with former First Lady Michelle Obama.

Kianna has been working in multi-media designs since 2008, including facilitating a local TV people group occasions show for Cox Cable for a significant amount of time.

It is common knowledge that Kianna has been solicited for assistance in fund-raising efforts on behalf of deserving Valley nonprofit organizations.

The Salvation Army, the VA Blue Ridge Susan G. Komen Foundation, the Roanoke City Public School’s Healthy Cooking and Nutrition Program, and Family Service of Roanoke Valley have all benefited greatly from the money that she has raised over the course of the past three years thanks to her efforts.

In each of the missions, there were creative initiatives planned out to bring in more assets. Kianna enjoys serving her community in creative ways while bringing attention to important issues and raising financial support for worthy causes. She has done everything from lip singing and salsa dancing to waiting tables and wearing a pink hairpiece for an entire month in order to raise awareness about breast cancer.

Despite this, her primary objective is to bring awareness and focus to the aforementioned problems while also generating financial support for the organizations in question, so that they may continue the remarkable work that they are doing.

It brings her reputation down to having won the Roanoke Branch of the NAACP Citizen of the Year Award for Media; the SCLC Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Network Service Award; the Media Award for Black Girls Rock; and the Media Award for Black Girls Rock.

In 2015, she was selected to be featured in a public publication called “Radio Ink,” which highlights potential African American leaders working in the radio industry.

In addition, Kianna has had the honor of performing the National Anthem in the Virginia State Capital Building on two separate occasions, once for President Bill Clinton in 2012 at President Barack Obama’s Grassroots Event in Roanoke, and once for President George W. Bush in 2008.
