Jonathan Ketz Profile

Jonathan Ketz is a well-known journalist in the United States. He became a member of the WQAD News Team on March 5th, 2012. In August of 2015, he started his new job as the morning co-anchor on Good Morning Quad Cities, and he was very thrilled to begin his career in this location.

Jonathan represents the third generation of his family to work as a reporter at this particular station. Back in 1963, his grandfather, Jim King, was one of the people who assisted in getting WQAD signed on the air. Up to the month of January in 1999, he was employed at the station. In 1981, Kris Ketz’s father, who also had a career in radio, got his start in this city. Prior to the family’s relocation to Kansas City in the early 1980s, his father was a reporter at WQAD.

His mother, Kris Ketz, is a news anchor and reporter for KMBC 9, and his stepmother, Dana Wright, is a co-host of “Dana and Parks” on 98.1 FM KMBZ in the afternoons during the week. Jonathan is their son. He is the youngest of three children. He is the grandchild of Jim King, who assisted WQAD in signing on the air in 1963 and continued to do so until his passing in January 1999, and Gloria, who is currently a resident of Moline.

His biological mother, Jan Lewis, is the only member of his family who is not mentioned at all in all of this. In the late 1970s, she worked for WQAD as a producer at the station. In point of fact, his grandfather was the one who put his mother to work at the station in the first place. Her mother used to work in broadcasting, but she’s since left that industry and is now employed by the North Kansas City School District.

At St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Davenport, Iowa, on September 2, 2017, Jonathan Duffy and Bethany Duffy exchanged their vows and became husband and wife. The Reverend Anthony Herold presided over the event as the officiant. Bethany attended Assumption High School located in Davenport, Iowa, and graduated in the year 2008. Saint Ambrose University granted her a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations in 2012, and she graduated with that degree. She works with Per Mar Security Services in Davenport, which is her current employer.

In 2011, he attended the University of Missouri in Columbia and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism. He works for WQAD in Moline at the moment. Davenport is where the pair makes their home.

Jonathan Ketz Baby

Archer, the first child to be born to Jonathan and his wife Beth, arrived into the world at 11:43 p.m. on April 23, 2019. The birth of their child occurred just before the conclusion of the game between the Portland Trail Blazers and the Oklahoma City Thunder, right before Damian Lillard made a buzzer-beating three-point shot from 37 feet that eliminated the Thunder from the NBA Playoffs, which, according to Jonathan, was perfect timing. Jonathan hypothesized that the individual was interested in observing the conclusion of the game.

“Jonathan cheered so loudly and frightened the [crap] out of our 10-minute-old,” added Beth, Jonathan’s wife. “It was a complete and utter nightmare.” Archer, the couple’s first child, was born weighing 7 pounds, 5 ounces and measuring 19.5 inches in length at his delivery. He was born just one day beyond his due date, which was the same day that Good Morning Quad Cities ran an article about how to find out how large your unborn baby is based on the size of Big Macs. He was born just one day later than his due date. In case you’re curious, “research” indicates that one Baby Archer is roughly similar to 15.62 Big Macs.
