After making some important turns along the way, Altman arrived at FOX61 in 2005. At FOX61, Altman has recently covered the most important news stories in the state while also hosting his well-known weekly vacation segment “Joyriders.”

At WAMI-TV in Miami, Jim worked as a columnist for the highly regarded South Beach News Magazine, “The Times,” in his first full-time live job. Additionally, he served as the host of the widely watched crazy games program Mervyn’s Beach Bash, which was filmed in Los Angeles.
Jim began working for WSYX-TV (ABC/FOX) in Columbus, Ohio when he covered the championship season of the Ohio State Buckeyes. Jim earned four Emmy Awards in a little more than two years in Columbus, including the Midwest Emmy Award for Best Feature Reporter.
