
J-P Dice Biography
J-P Dice is a journalist from the United States who currently works for WBRC FOX 6 News as the chief meteorologist. He spent his childhood in the Central Florida community of Frostproof.
He earned his Master of Science degree in Geoscience from Mississippi State University, where he also attended. In the past, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in telecommunication news from the University of Florida.
Also, he has completed an additional meteorology curriculum at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, which was at the alumni level.
He has been a professor at Jefferson State Community College, where he has been teaching meteorology and other practical science classes for the past ten years.
In addition to being a flying teacher, he holds the qualification of Airline Transport Pilot. He enjoys going on road trips with his wife in their Mooney M20J and spending time together.

J-P Dice WBRC FOX 6 News
In August of 2008, James-Paul “J-P” Dice became the head meteorologist for the weather and climate group known as WBRC First Alert. On WBRC FOX6 News between the hours of 4 and 6 pm and 9 and 10 pm, J-P is On Your Side and will be analyzing the weather.
He is not any more peculiar than Alabama’s ever-changing and always intriguing climate. J-P worked for a very long period at WHNT-TV in Huntsville before moving on to his current position at WBRC.
In the years leading up to his relocation to Alabama in 1997, J-P worked as a meteorologist at WCJB-TV in Gainesville, Florida. There, he covered a wide range of weather events, from tornadoes to tropical hurricanes.
While he was still in high school, he started working in radio, which was the beginning of his career in transmission. J-P spent his boyhood in a little town in Central Florida called Frostproof, which had an excellent historic neighborhood and was perfect for a future meteorologist.
In the field of transmission meteorology, J-P is a pioneering figure. 2004 was the year when he was the driving force behind the invention of the primary double polarisation Doppler radar that is used in transmission meteorology.
At the moment, all radars operated by the National Weather Service operate in accordance with this standard. J-P was also the first meteorologist in Alabama to earn the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal from the American Meteorological Society. J-P is still the only person in Alabama to hold this certification.
In addition to this, the National Weather Association has bestowed upon him their Seal of Approval. Dice serves as the Broadcast Chair for the National Weather Association.
