Gordon Loesch is an American anchor and reporter who has won the Emmy Award a total of six times. He currently works at WPXI (channel 11) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he is the morning and noon anchor. Since the beginning of the year 2004, he has been employed by this station.
Gordon pursued his education by enrolling in classes at Central Michigan University, from which he ultimately graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public communication.

After holding the positions of weekend anchor and later morning anchor at WKBN in Youngstown, Ohio, he moved on to WXYZ in Detroit, where he worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor for the station.
In addition to his six Emmy wins, which include the award for best news anchor from the 2022 Mid-Atlantic Emmys, Gordon has been nominated for a total of twenty Emmys, with seven of those nods coming in the categories for best reporter and best anchor. Additionally, he has been honored with prizes in the breaking news, features, and best reporter categories from the Edward R. Murrow Prizes, the Associated Press, the Michigan Association of Broadcasters, and the Golden Quill. The dramatic rescue of a deaf and physically disabled woman who was stranded in her car in floodwaters during the western Pennsylvania flood of 2004, which he and his photographer witnessed, is one of the most famous tales of his career and one of the most memorable moments of his life.
In addition, Gordon has covered some of the most significant events to take place in Pittsburgh over the past twenty years, such as anchoring live coverage of the collapse of the Fern Hollow Bridge and the mass massacre that occurred at the Tree of Life synagogue. In addition, he provided live coverage of the aftermath of a variety of events, such as floods, tornadoes, and winter storms, as well as presidential visits and explosions in homes. In addition, Gordon traveled to Harrisburg, Allentown, York, and Philadelphia to report the results of the governor and U.S. Senate elections on election night. He also traveled to New Hampshire to report on the results of the presidential primary.
