George Faust KLFY News 10

Since June 2005, Faust has held the position of Sports Director and Anchor at KLFY News 10 in Lafayette, Louisiana. He serves as the weekday anchor for KLFY News 10 at 6 and 10 o’clock. In addition, he hosts the High School Football Show: First and Ten, which has won multiple awards, as well as the Louisiana Open Extra, a special on the Tour tournament that is held in Broussard.

Full Court Press was the first high school basketball show to be produced in Louisiana, and it was conceived and produced by KLFY News 10 Sports under the direction of George. It was long before he graduated from The University of Mississippi that he started his profession as a journalist.

Throughout the course of his career, he has held positions as a news anchor and a reporter for both sports and general news. The most exciting thing that has happened to him in his line of work so far was being able to cover the New Orleans Saints during the 2009–2010 season as they made their way to winning the Super Bowl for the franchise for the first time. Saint has dreamed his entire life of being in Miami for the celebration of his team’s first Super Bowl victory. The chance that George had to talk one-on-one with golfing great Jack Nicklaus is also right up there among the best experiences of his life.

Before he started working for News 10, he held a position at the KPLC-TV station in Lake Charles, Louisiana. In addition, George worked at WCBI-TV in Columbus, Mississippi, and WMDN-TV in Meridian, Mississippi. In New Orleans, he did his internship at both WWL870AM and WWL-TV.

When it came to the news, George’s most exciting interview was the one in which he spoke with James Meredith, who was the first black student to attend Ole Miss. The coverage of Hurricane Katrina was likely the most significant development, though. During the course of his career, he has received a number of A.P. honors in addition to the Communicator Award that he received for his work on the show “Ole Miss Football” alongside David Cutcliffe. George is a rabid supporter of the New Orleans Saints as well as the Pelicans. The Chicago Cubs are his favorite team to watch play baseball. He looks forward to spending time with his family whenever he is not occupied with watching sports on television.
