At WLOX, Jeansonne is the station’s Meteorologist. Ever since he was five years old, he had dreamed of working in the field of meteorology. On May 16, 2015, he worked on the largest tornado outbreak, which included about a dozen tornadoes that were covered in the area, one of which being an EF-3 tornado that was a mile wide. He remained on the air for a total of five consecutive hours, alerting viewers about the potentially life-threatening storms. The most unforgettable experience for him was arriving home from his first day of kindergarten to discover his mother putting tape on the windows.
He was granted admission to the University of Oklahoma, where he studied for his Bachelor of Science in Meteorology degree and his Minor in Broadcast Journalism. Prior to beginning work at WLOX, Jeansonne spent four years as an employee at KFDX in Wichita Falls, Texas. There, he reported on a wide range of topics, from winter storms to outbreaks of tornadoes. When he has some free time, one of his favorite things to do is to kick back with his cat, Ciro, and watch movies.
