Evans worked as a political reporter for the Eyewitness News station on Channel 7. Since joining WABC-TV in 1999, Evans has covered every major election, from the campaigns of Mike Bloomberg and Bill de Blasio for mayor through Hillary Clinton’s candidacy for the presidency in 2008.
Since the year 2000, he has served as the lead correspondent for Eyewitness News at each and every political convention. Additionally, he has traveled extensively for ABC7, covering topics as diverse as the war in Iraq and Governor Andrew Cuomo’s recent visit to Israel.
