Since 2006, Klopping has been a member of the KNVN/KHSL group. He began his tenure with the company as an intern in the production department in the same year, at the same time that he was completing his education at California State University Chico. He has established himself as a photographic artist, journalist, anchorperson, and climate anchor at the stations. He has also held these positions in the past.
Between the years 2007 and 2008, Cort filled in as a news picture taker on an as-needed basis. In 2008, he began his regular duties in front of the camera as an overall task journalist. Between the years 2008 and 2013, one of Cort’s responsibilities was to report the news three times a week and to provide our end-of-the-week communication with hypotheses regarding the weather.
Cort Klopping has been our active information and climate co-anchor for Action News Now at the beginning of the day and throughout the early afternoon hours since May of 2013. He continues to hold this position up to the present day.
