Carina was thrilled to return to the Central Coast and take on the role of co-anchor for the KSBY News broadcasts at 5, 6, 10, and 11 p.m. Carina started her broadcasting career in 2002 at KIEM in Eureka, California, where she worked as a weekend anchor and reporter. She later moved on to KSBY in July 2004 to take the position of Santa Maria Bureau Chief. Her coverage of the child molestation trial against Michael Jackson, which lasted over four months, is considered to be her most significant work.
After that, Carina served as the host of KSBY’s weekend newscasts before moving up to the morning shift in 2008. She was the morning anchor for the NBC affiliate in Fresno for four years, during which she helped residents of the Central Coast start their day. After that, she moved on to Fresno to help inhabitants of the Central Valley start their day.
Carina was presented with a number of awards in recognition of her work at KSBY.
