Hughes is an anchor and reporter for WPLG-Local 10, where she works. He is a co-anchor for the station’s newscasts that air weekdays at 4, 5, 6, and 11 p.m. Midway through the year 2010, Calvin was moved from his previous roles as morning and noontime anchor to his current role as midnight co-anchor.

He had been working at KYW-TV, the CBS station in Philadelphia, since November 2003. There, he anchored the weekend newscasts and served as a weekday night side reporter. Prior to starting work at Local 10, he was a reporter for KYW-TV. During his time there, Calvin reported on a variety of national stories, including the shootings at an Amish schoolhouse and the Live 8 concert.
