White, a skilled journalist with almost 40 years of experience, has secured a wide variety of breaking local and international stories for NBC4, including the Northridge earthquake, the salon mass murders in Seal Beach, CA, the theater killings in Aurora, CO, the death of music icon Prince in Minneapolis, MN, and floods, rapidly spreading fires, and mudslides in Southern California, including the dangerous catastrophe in Montecito.

The 2018 Chuck Stone Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) goes to White. In the same period, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors also recognized her for her well-known profession, and in 2017, the NABJ’s Los Angeles chapter honored White for her 25 years of service to NBC4.
