Since he was a child, he has always had an interest in radio, and he was lucky to begin his career in the news and radio while he was still in school. He started out as an end-of-the-week board administrator at KRDO NewsRadio, and from there, he worked his way up to the position of delivery.
At the time, his profession brought me to the breathtaking Kenai Peninsula in Alaska, where I worked as a Reporter and, later, as the News Director for a collection of five radio broadcasts.
During that period, he was recognized by the Alaska Broadcasting Association for his inclusion of breaking news and news programs, in addition to driving the group’s efforts toward modernizing that news activity.
After relocating to the south, he worked as a News Director in Northeast Nebraska, where he was additionally recognized by the Nebraska Broadcasting Association for his coverage of breaking news.
He was fortunate enough to move back home and re-visit KRDO, first as an Afternoon News Anchor on KRDO NewsRadio and then as the Assignment Manager for NewsChannel 13.
