She was awarded the title of Top Forecaster by NJ.com in New Jersey in 2027.

When she was in Chicago, she gave presentations on tornadoes and other types of severe weather to more than 10,000 students in the surrounding region each year. She organized the very first Weather Information Days for the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball, the Chicago Cubs of the National League, and the Chicago Wolves of the National Hockey League.

Freeze is famous for being the very first female to ever serve as a sideline reporter for Major League Soccer. She has done so for the Colorado Rapids, the LA Galaxy, and the Chicago Fire. In addition to that, Amy spent four seasons working as a coaching assistant for the NFL team the Chicago Bears.

Freeze was one of the first 20 women in the world to acquire this certification, and she holds certificate number 111 as a certified broadcast meteorologist from the American Meteorological Society.
